Great to hear about Ian. The third time I saw FZ in KC both Ian and Ruth Underwood were with Frank. Half the stage was all percussion. George Duke was also there at Memorial Hall. Wonderful night as well. Thanks DZ for this tour. It's fun to read about all the performances.
I was truely amazed.I planned to go to harmony but was in the ventura area and was able to get tickets. The small and cozy theatre was just the perfect place for my first Zappa Plays Zappa show.I loved the song selection and all was too much more than expected.I swear I felt Franks presence directing the show. Thanks so much Dweezle for doing this for all of us.It was the highlight of my short 2 week return to california.I will definately travel to see this great band again , soon I hope!
Awesome.Scott Thunes. Love it.
This Night Changed My Life!
I missed the comment that Ian Underwood was in attendance. Excellent! I also missed that Scott Thunes played. He had mentioned on his blog after he last sat in that he wanted to play Echidna's Arf.
Great pics. Thank you Steve

Going to work on posting a few here too.
I have seen all of the Los Angeles area shows and have to say this may have been the best show yet. My wife and two children came along and had a great time.
Blessed Relief, side four of Sheik Yerbouti, and all of the songs with Scott Thunes were absolute highlights.
Dweezil, Thanks for signing my shirt! Another amazing show,I loved Eat That Question. But the entire show was amazing. This is the second time I've got to say hi after your show and of course I'm Tongue Tied. Each show is better and your band is the best! Keep it up and I'll keep comming back for more and telling others!
Mr. Weaver is absolutely right! My favorite ZPZ show! Amazing setlist. Amazing performance. Thank you!

Unbelievable!!! The music of FZ lives on. I followed you for all 5 years and the music keeps getting better and better. Thank you Dweezil, what a great show! Special thanks for coming out after the show to talk with us, and just hang! Keep up the geat work!!!
Wow, looks like a fun night !! Nice to see the return of Wild Love & Yo Mama back in rotation !!

Any clues...is it a warm up band or special guest or just a mistake.
WTF scott thunes showed up?!!!??! I WOULD HAVE KILLED TO SEE HIM
Where is the set list?
Well THAT was something! Scott Thunes, what a nice surprise. And you don't normally see bikes on stage either. Thanks all!
DZ Looking forward to the show this Thursday and the new set lists! Haven't seen Crew S**t done any chance you could work it in the show this Thursday!! Luv Ya
I was there last year and I'll be there again this year. See y'all there.. And since it's so close to Camarillio I think you should do Camarillio Brillo.. That would be pretty cool.
Right around the corner! Just days away. New stuff!
Enjoy the show, Steve. Can't make it south this time, but had a blast last time in Ventura. They put on a fun show at this great little theater.
w00t!
