Awake on the Bus
Jul 11, 2010 11:17 PM
Not that anyone reallys cares but I'm the only one awake on the bus at the moment. My circadian rhythm is a little turned around here in Europe. I've been tired from travel and lack of sleep but haven't been able to actually sleep more than 3 hours a night. Last night I did yoga before bed at 4 am but still woke up at 7:30 am. I ended up doing a P90X cardio workout so I could try to turn my schedule around for later.
We played an early concert here at the Bospop festival in Weert NL. We were off stage by 7:15pm. After the show I was starting to feel tired. I didn't want to miss my sleep train again so I decided to lay down in my bunk. I was finally able to sleep well. I slept from around 9pm to 3 am when I was woken up by loud drunk voices outside the bus.
The good news for me is, it looks like I'm going to get myself on a decent schedule where I can wake early enough in the day to exercise and do some guitar practice. Maybe even get a few new songs together. We'll see...
The tour has been hectic but I think we're hitting a new stride within the band. I look forward to the continued evolution.
We have a few interesting destinations ahead of us, Israel and southern Italy. I look forward to the experience and some great food.
This tour will conclude in the blink of an eye and the fall will be here before we know it as well. So much to do, so little time.

DZ, I caught your show in Brighton and you and the band were great! I was sad to see you have to deal with the abusive idiot at the end of the show, though! What a a-hole! I thought you were very gracious and he was a nightmare. Sorry, not all Brits are selfish idiots like him!!!
Really looking forward to the Roundhouse birthday sessions! cheers, Tom
Hope to see you September 19, 2010 2:00PM Enoch Pratt Free Library 3601 Eastern Avenue Baltimore, MD 21224 ... You know why ...
DZ,
I can imagine, sort of, what you are going thru since I have experienced it myself with 3 girls and 1 boy. I'm shocked as I didn't know 'til today 07-30-2010. All I can suggest is for you to seek the Lord! As He is the great "Consouler", Comfortor and Rest/Peace you are seeking in this time of upheaval. I do not know your beliefs, however, I was not a saved person until after my problems also. We all have a "God" size hole that we try to fill in many ways, whether we want to admit it or not. I pray you will find Christ, for He is the answer you are yearning for. I am not a Bible thumper, hardly. I find it hard to explain something that you must experience on your on terms as it differs based on the individual. I'll will gladly talk to you about it if you so choose. I want the best for you and your family as I have watched you grow up as a fan of your daddy since the early 70's. I'm 50 now.
May God Bless you and your family DZ, We (all fans) love and appreciate you and your tireless efforts! Sorry for any spelling mistakes. You have performed some of the best concerts I have ever witnessed, including Frank's, as I have seen both.
In God's Love,
Lee
