Hello Everyone!

As much as I wanted to be able to present Mark Tremonti EP - 9 on Thursday 2-18-21, there was still too much work left and the episode just wasn't ready. Being behind schedule is no fun for you or me and it certainly isn't because I've forgotten about all of you and your RWTD cravings! I have a passion for doing these episodes and I have a standard I'm trying to maintain. In many cases, the episodes require a lot more work than just recording conversations, so honestly, I am getting a bit worn down and haven't had had enough time to recover between episodes.

I've been putting in 10-12 hours a day this past week to get this episode together for you as well as prepping next week's episode! I'm exporting the file tonight and doing quality a control check in the morning before uploading. The Mark Tremonti Diver Down episode is finished and available right now.

As we are coming to the end of "The Early Years" I'm planning to begin the weekly live listening parties. As soon as Jennifer Batten EP -10 1984 is finished I plan to begin going live weekly.

During the weeks of hanging out with you for the live listening parties, production on season 2, "Right Here, Right Now" will ramp up.  Right now, episodes are taking about 10 days to 2 weeks and I'm looking for ways to shorten that process without diminishing the quality of the episodes. So, just a heads up - while we are doing the weekly listening parties for the "Early Years" there will be a short hiatus for new episodes so production can catch up.

I'd love to hear some comments from you about scheduling the listening parties each week. I know we have many guests in Europe so I'd like to be able to accommodate a good time that can work for people's schedules. I'll be as flexible as I can so we can make it work for everyone.

Can you please leave some comments suggesting some days and times? I'll try to make a plan after I hear from you. Also, get your questions ready! I'll be playing the episodes and reading your questions, pausing the audio when necessary!

Thanks for your patience, understanding, and assistance!

Best, DZ

Interesting thoughts, thanks!

My schedule is pretty open except between 2:45 am to 12:00 pm, California time ( haha )! I can pretty much work around anytime and/or any day.

Thank you for the podcast episodes. I am happy to wait longer for quality episodes. Wednesdays at noon Central time and just about any day after 6 central would be a good time for listening parties. Thanks again.

Unrelated to listening parties and the release schedule: Will you be talking with Steve Stevens? I would love to hear a conversation between Dweezil and Steve about guitars and EVH.

Thank you for soliciting our feedback Dweezil. It sounds like these podcasts are pushing you to your limits, and your mental health should be top priority. Have you considered extending the scheduled duration between episodes? With the addition of the live listening sessions, you could have fans submit questions related to the most recent episode and then respond to those questions a week later during the listening session. Recording the Q&A sessions and making them available for streaming would make it possible for everybody to participate regardless of timing conflicts, and potentially give you more time to work on each episode. |m|

Awesome job on the series thus far. I love all eras of VH so I am equally looking forward to the Hagar years as well.

Thanks for all the hard work and diligence, Dweezil. This is one of the best music-related podcasts ever!

As far as the listening parties, would prefer weekends between 6-10 p.m. ET.
