My first (and of course favorite) Dweezil album.  Remember everything about it.

Tommy Quirk

I actually saw that Andy Taylor tour for that solo album in '87 opening for Heart.

Hello, since I had this joy of seeing Dweezil play a guitar solo in front of his dad, in Zurich, I bought all his albums with joy, as soon as he came out. In addition to the cover of the disc which is superb, Dweezil leaves us here an album which is worth the detour. We can already see the great, immense guitarist he has become. Well done.

Oh, that was kind of an abrupt ending. Was hoping to hear about You Don't Know When to Love Me as well. Enjoying the series.

Alright, another good 1 #3 , again !I learned afew things , some things I knew, I forgot about the Andy Taylor thing, I've watched it before on you tube , I' sure patti watched it on Mtv live, I checked Patti's vinyl of this album in my collection , u thanked us (Cindy Zueli & friends) Crazy Stuff Goin ON , RIP Taylor Hawkins, I saw they found 10. different drugs in his system, I guess he didnt follow the Zappa NO Drugs thing,Will Smith slapping chris rock..joking about someone's hair loss is outta line. Patti lost every bit of hair, not just some patches on her head. BOTH Dweezil & Shawn Rock!!! I'll check out the next one ..GO ZAPPA !!! P&G

Really enjoying this series, great insights and stories.

Had to look up the "Kill Your Mama" music video on YouTube as I hadn't seen it before, but what a hoot that was to watch. I can imagine how much fun it would have been to make.

David " DMC " McCain

Pretty cool show. I do enjoy hearing the stories behind the songs too. It doesn't surprise me about Mesa Boogies: John Petrucci and Allan Holdsworth have both stated that Mesa Boogies are pretty big sounding amps.

Thanks for the details!

James S.

Another great podcast! Really loved the Mesa Boogie gear talk and the solo composition composed v.s. improv discussion. Hope some of those stripped back music ideas see the light of day sometime soon. Also some very good video editing in here too.

Thanks, Shawn and Dweezil!
