Production Notes

Audio Production Credits

The audio was recorded by me and mixed in Norway by my good friend Mike Hartung. I assisted him with the mix and I'm thrilled with the result. Sonically, it's one of the best sounding live concerts of all time, FOR REAL!

Video Production Credits

The concert was captured with 10 cameras from different locations, providing nice coverage and a unique look. Visually, you'll discover what it takes to play these incredibly challenging compositions. The video was a collaborative edit between Gregg Ferguson, Kurt Squiers and Me. I wanted to make sure you can see exactly what you're hearing in the music.

Bert S.

Hi, and Happy New Year! Will the purchase of the concert include an audio download so that we can burn it to CD to play on a home sound system and in a car CD player?

Dweezil

Hi Bert,

No it doesn't come with an audio version. There is an audio version of the Apostrophe album that is in the music section of my website and you are entitled to 10 percent off if you purchased the Collectors Cut VIP. That album is the same audio from the video concert and can be downloaded. You can then burn it to a CD.

Conversely, most smart phones have a blue tooth pairing to car speakers and you can stream the album or concert video from your phone to your car stereo if you are able to get wifi/cell service while driving.

Happy New Year! DZ

A Real Composer writes Real Music Played by Real Musicians.   What a Band!  You Own Every Song!   Fifty years ago we used to do acid and Rum-pum-pummm along to The Grand Wazoo. I feel fortunate to have seen ZPZ eight or nine times and every time was state of the art sound and a two hour show with No Breaks. No let-up either. Whew! We saw Something!   Then covid and Vancouver misses you. We are so lucky to have so many recordings and so much in your Vault. Keep 'em coming. The 'problem' is: Who Next ? The Greats and Frank is among them; appear so rarely: Beethoven threatening the aristocracy or shouting over fist-fights for Ravel.  Hah!  As a mere mortal fan; sifting "the music of The Anthropocene" through Frank's filter... Well; just to say: thanks for the concert.

Dweezil

Thank you very much for supporting the music all these years. I'm glad you're enjoying my versions. We hope to come back to Vancouver this year. Happy New Year!

Cory

Just finished watching the concert...tremendous! So great to see the duet with Frank, and the collab with George Duke! The whole concert is simply magnificent.

Dweezil

Thank you! Happy New Year!

Dear Dweezil, I would like to update to a Silver membership or am I already part of that club?  Definitely your last show in Medford MA 2024(?) and will order the Collectors Cut VIP after I send this comment to you or one of your loyal helpers (as your pop would have probably said LOL).  Keep rocking and Happy Zappadan to you and yours.  Eliot Spike Kagen

Will there be a physical release?

PorchoftheLidoHotel

+1 for a physical release of this film plus the upcoming full concert video on the same disc (ideally, a Blu-ray Disc with high-resolution two-channel audio).  Thanks, Dweezil, and Zappy New Year!

Dweezil

Unfortunately, this is such a niche audience and there is not enough demand for a physical product. It would be too expensive to produce. The download is the best delivery system at this point in time.
