Dweezil: Another hit here. I always thought of Pink Napkins as Frank's Brain. I really miss you and your band; even after nine concerts... even after wondering -before the show; if the band might ever have an 'off' night. Not a bit of it. I just stood there and had a stroke while I laughed mah ass off. I last saw you at the Commodore in Van. I Knew I saw Something! Name Anyone; from the jazz greats to opera and even unto BritProgRock: You are in there. I grew up on John McLaughlin, King Crimson and come to think of it my first real concert was Frank And Mahavishnu at Maple Leaf Gardens'74. You are in there. Thanks and hang on till the Trumpster is gone and covid is history. ps: I still think your gang should ram 21stCenturySchizoidMan into Muffin Man... Sax, wicked lyrics for Cian Coey, Killer drums. You would cause massive destruction.
Sounds great ! No over-dubs ? I saw your "Hot Rats" shows in Columbus and near Pittsburgh ( 2 days apart) just as the virus started complicating things. The intamacy of the small venues is wonderful, but the house P.A. systems sometimes leave a lot to be desired.
I'm so happy to see that you have this set up! Reminds me of 2006! I am too old to have see your dad live but I knew the first time I saw you (12/16/2006) That I was in for a treat with many years too come! I was right! you have come to Austin several times and we've been there every time! Thanks so much! PLEASE Keep it up and greasy!!
Back in '79 when Sleep Dirt first was released I had just finished junior high and had moved from the bucolic Lord of the Flies dreamland that was Huntington Beach to the wilds of Bellflower to go to high school. I opened my copy of Sleep Dirt, gently set the needle down on an actual record, and put on my headphones while sitting in an ancient beanbag I had received as a token of love from my mom during the super-bitchen 1970's. When "Sleep Dirt" came on I fell through some sort of Twilight Zone time-space continuum warpage while being simultaneously amazed and bewildered. Not to be confused with Dazed and Confused mind you... that's another story for a different beanbag. While deep in Zappa trance the song imploded and stopped abruptly, I sat bolt upright, and screamed "NO!" I frightened my cat and at least several neighbors, one of whom actually knocked on my window to see if I was alright. I wasn't.
It's really hard to explain the sensation of being on the cusp of entering some alternate world and then having the door snap out of existence. The brief exchange between Frank and James Youman at the end of the tune haunts me to this day.
Thanks for releasing this Dweezil, perhaps I can find my way back to that world again...
Arrived just now to this part of the cyberspace and... Well, listen this... is th best "welcome back" that I can receive!!! Great in al sences!!!! Congrats!!!

This is a true story...

Hi Seraphim! Welcome back!
Wow. Made my day musically. That took me to the Zappa genius I loved the most. Play your guitar son.
This transported me to a world similar to where Don Fagan's "True Companion" takes me.
Just the kind of escape and quizzical relaxation I was hoping for. Miss seeing you all live, take care!
I had the pleasure to hear this piece live and very touching as an idea to have combined the 2 pieces
and introduce us at the same time the new member of the band who is doing an exceptional job.
Merci Dweezil
Magic!
Music is the best.
Thank you Dweezil
Most enjoyable.
I guess the name really reflects the composition structure and its "fabric! And it is brilliant!
Amazing
