I'm completely geeking out to the RWTD: AVH episode with Ryan Brown.
THANK YOU for breaking down the "tap dance" overdub in "Hot for Teacher".
I've had similar conversations with drummer friends who look at me like I'm a lunatic when I talk about the "rim hits'. It's almost as if since they've played the song for so long that they've erased from their memory.
This site continues to upgrade my music nerd status and prove that it’s my main passion. I play guitar and sing, but was still glued to the drum focused episode. Looking forward to the Seattle show!
I've been quite busy prepping for the tour but I wanted to pop in and let you all know that I appreciate your support! I have done some technical tests on the site and it is now possible for me to do some things I have not been able to do before. There will be more interactive elements coming to the site in the very near future. Live chat and special video access to rehearsals as they are happening live in the studio. I'll keep you posted on how it will work!
Dang, that’s to bad. I totally understand though, I’ve been reading and following everything you’ve had to do to get this tour up and going. I’ll keep my fingers crossed that you make it to Texas next time. Good luck with the tour, I’ll be watching for video of the shows!
I am planning to film the tour so there will be a concert documentary at some point. Also, in July I will be offering a new subscription that will allow access to exclusive content and live video streaming of some key rehearsals in July, plus video Q&A. So if that interests you, that's coming soon!
Dweezil- I hope you guys are working up an "Inca Roads" with a little room for the gang to riff. I know it was not on either Roxy or Apostrophe but it was performed several times during the Roxy sessions and never fails to please (it's one of my personal faves). I'm probably not the only one of your dad's fans who fell in love with the group of albums he recorded with George, Ruth and the rest of that fantastic band, and those of us still alive to see you guys play the same material are infinitely grateful to all of you. Can't wait until August. P.S. Any interesting guest appearances lined up for this tour?
Hey DZ ! That Machine Head remaster is crazy good & crazy fun ! Thank you for undertaking that monumental effort ! Brought back those ‘ol cassette tape memories ! F'king Ritchie Blackmore ! See you soon !
Dweezil, I was doing yard work the other day, and was struck with a great idea.
What if your next project was a covers album of Carol King songs? You could get of photo of yourself for the album cover, seated on a window sill bench, with cats.
Dweezil, can't wait to see you at the Oakdale in CT. Saw your last 3 tours in CT at Ridgefield (bought the guitar you autographed) , College St and Infinity, and also Experience Hendrix. But when are you coming to the jewel of CT, the Waterbury Palace. Saw Frank there in 1974!
I just watched Dweezil with Deep Purple first time I heard of this, Dweezil played the solo on Smoke Under Water, who was the blond guy on Dweezils left anyone know? It wasn't Richy Blackmore
I'm glad you enjoyed the mixes. I'm assuming you were able to hear them on speakers and not just headphones in binaural. I appreciate the kind words. I do plan to do much more in Atmos with my own music and other catalog remixes.
Yes, inflation is real! There are many upfront out of pocket expenses related to touring and selling gear is the best way to try to create a win -win situation for people who would care to support the tour and also enjoy a new piece of kit.
see you at the VIP party in Huntington Long Island. If I win a piece, i may ask you to sign it. You’ve always been as generous as your dad with the audience.
Hi Dweezil. Hoping to see you in Albany. Last one was Ft. Lauderdale in 2019. Amazing show! Who’s in the band this tour? Everyone has been awesome! Thanks for doing this. Frank would be proud!
Dweezil, just got tickets for me and my 2 sons for your show at the Roxian in McKees Rocks (Pittsburgh) on August 21st. This will be my 3rd time at your concert, same number of times I saw your father. First one of his was with Flo and Eddie, Just Another Band From L.A. show. Looking forward to seeing you in concert again. If you would ever do Sheik Yerbouti and bring it to town, I will definitely be there. That album was in heavy rotation on a cross country trip my brother and I took in 79.
Just bought tickets for the September 9th show in STL. I recently acquired a Peavey Wiggy half stack for my personal collection. Saw a picture online where you singed the speaker cabinet of one of these and would be grateful if you would sign mine. I’m a regular at the venue (The Pagent) and have been in the line for autographs, no stranger to that! I’d gladly bring the cabinet and get in line if you would sign it for me. If not, I understand. Thanks…Paul
We can't wait to have you back in San Diego!
Thank you for continuing to bring us all along on your incredible journey of discovery...

So much fun listening to all of these episodes.

I hope you make it to the Houston area on this tour, it’s been to long! I want to bring my 19yo grandson to see you, show him what real music is!
We won't be able to play Texas on this run. Hopefully next time.

It's great to see your US tour dates (sadly I will not be in the States in August).
Looking forward to seeing some UK dates!
I loved your show at the Royal Festival Hall with the Norwegian Brass a few years ago. Great sound.
Hey, Dweezil.
Today is Record Store Day. Did you buy any records today?

Frank Reimann (Frank R) who has been a member of DZWorld/DZ.com since its inception, passed away suddenly, earlier this week.
Like so many others, I was fortunate to get to know Frank on the road at so many shows around the world.
He will be truly missed.
Godspeed Frank.
RIP, Frank R. Traveling Inca Roads and beyond. Godspeed, good sir.
Sorry to hear about Frank. I hope his family is doing alright.

Dweezil,

I was doing yard work the other day, and was struck with a great idea.
What if your next project was a covers album of Carol King songs?
You could get of photo of yourself for the album cover, seated on a window sill bench, with cats.
Then you could call the album 'Zappestry'.
(I'll go ahead and be quiet now.)
Hey, hello, hooray.

New guy from Harvest, Alabama.
Rock on, great site, great people!!

Hi Dweezil,
I just finished listening to your remix in Dolby Atmos of Deep Purple Machine Head.
It blew my mind! Never have I heard a more enjoyable mix. The creativity and quality of the music is next level.
I very much hope you continue this path with more projects.
I have listened to hundreds of quad, surround and Atmos mixes. You are the new standard.
Not blowing smoke
Just stating fact

Hey Whit, where can we get the remix your talking about?

Man sorry to see you have to sell a bunch of gear. I hope it gets a good home. Wishing you a successful tour and looking forward to the show!

I understand. I’m sending the link out to any musicians I know that aren’t on your mailing list to get the word out.

Hi David,
Thanks for your support. This tour is going to be very special and I hope to see you there.
