2019 Pound For A Brown - Wilbur Theater, Boston.

Tim Miller has guested with my band on at least 5 occasions and is one of my all-time favorite guitarists. His fluid style is full of variety and his deep harmonic knowledge allows him to create unexpected twists and turns in his improvisation. I always enjoy playing with him and learning from his phrasing and ideas. If you want to take lessons his online courses are brilliant as well!

2019 New Orleans - Pound For A Brown

Shane Theriot played with us and the guitar conversation was intriguing. We somehow finished each other's sentences. I discovered Shane's playing back in the early '90s when he entered a contest to win one of my Wiggy amplifiers. His song Shrimp Boots was the clear winner and not only because of his guitar playing, but the song also used a tuba for the bass line! We've been able to stay in touch since then and it's always a treat to play with him. Check out his original music when you can!

Tim Miller is one of my all time favorites as well. He's got a very smooth style and always has the best tones.

Love all three but I have to loop the performance with Shane. His music is freaking amazing-his version of the " Sanford & Son " theme ( known as " The Street Beater " ) is totally killer!! Shane's sense of phrasing is just so superb. Great version. Hope DZ and Shane can do more ( and yes, I love Shane's podcast ).
